Introduction

This statement is made as legally required under the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

This statement covers the activities of Ian Guest Holding Limited, Guest Motors Limited, Sherwood Truck and Van Ltd and all other wholly-owned subsidiaries, together “Guest”, which obtain goods and services from and form part of Guest’s supply chain.

About Us

Guest offers a variety of products and services relating to commercial vehicles these include; servicing and repairs, parts and the selling of Iveco and Fiat Professional vehicles.

We have around 450 members of staff all of which are based within the UK across 16 sites. All our staff are directly employed and do not come into the category which is generally seen to be vulnerable to modern slavery in the UK. Our main focus is to ensure that our policies and procedures are up to date and distributed to our contractors and suppliers.

Supply Chain

Guest always strives to continuously improve its procedures in order to identify and eradicate any slavery and human trafficking in its business and supply chains in order to act ethically in all its business interactions.

A wide range of suppliers are used by Guest, all of which assist us in providing services to our customers.

Policies

Guest is currently working on their policies in order to minimise the risk of modern slavery within its supply chain. These will be published and available to all employees, contractors and suppliers.

Due Diligence

Guest is continuously monitoring its contractors and suppliers for any risks of high modern slavery which could affect our supply chain.

Each trading company within Guest has written to its top 50 suppliers to confirm that they also hold high principles relating to the Modern Slavery Act 2015; they are also asked to confirm that they have made efforts to ensure that their supply chain also hold these values.

We can confirm that a very positive response rate to those letters has been received.

Looking to the Future

Guest is continuously looking to improve its obligations in relation to the Modern Slavery Act 2015. During the next financial year 2019/2020, we will continue to enhance our policies and procedures in order to help us identify, prevent and alleviate any risks on modern slavery or human trafficking in relation to new and existing contractors and suppliers.

Approval

This statement has been formally approved by the Board of Directors of Guest Motors Limited, Sherwood Truck and Van Ltd and signed on their behalf.

2018 Version

We have reviewed our organisation to ensure that:

  • Working conditions are safe and hygienic
  • Child labour is not used
  • Living wages are paid
  • Working hours are not excessive
  • No discrimination is practiced
  • No harsh or inhumane treatment is allowed
  • Bribery and corruption is not tolerated

Each trading Company in the Group has written to its top 50 suppliers to confirm that they also hold these values, and to confirm that they have made efforts to ensure that their supply chain also hold these values.

We have received a very positive response rate to those letters.
